About Wajipha

My Story

Born to a multicultural family, Wajipha Chongwe is a citizen of the world. She is a multidisciplinary artist who has dedicated her life’s work to empowering others through holistic healing. As a life coach, counsellor, therapist, and self-realisation guide, Wajipha draws upon diverse modalities including family constellations therapy to help clients break free from intergenerational patterns. Beyond her thriving private practice, she is a sought-after educator on cultural awareness and ancestral wisdom. With an open heart and creative spirit, Wajipha illuminates the path to greater fulfillment.

Last year, Wajipha embarked on an epic journey of self-discovery and professional development in her new home of Amsterdam, Netherlands. She delved into the realms of Counselling and Coaching, undertook rigorous studies at The Academy for Coaching & Counselling (ACC). She completed her coursework, achieved her diploma and is now a certified counsellor, coach and psycho-social therapist.

However, for those acquainted with Wajipha, her path to becoming a therapist, counselor, and holistic life coach has always been evident. Her current endeavors are merely the culmination of her innate calling. Beyond her studies at ACC, she has also immersed herself in Family Constellations therapy, honing her skills at the esteemed Bert Hellinger Institute in Groningen, the Netherlands.
There she successfully completed her certificate in Interconnected Health and Embodied Facilitation under the guidance of Stephan Hausner and Marion Latour.

Wajipha’s approach to therapy is eclectic, reflecting her belief that each individual’s journey is unique. She draws from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis Therapy, Positive Psychology Therapy, Mindfulness, and the transformative techniques of Family Constellations Therapy.

Moreover, Wajipha recognizes the significance of holistic healing and has dedicated herself to mastering various complementary therapies. Prior to pursuing formal counseling studies, she immersed herself in disciplines such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Physic development, Tarot Card Reading, Reiki, Crystal Healing, Spiritual Healing, and Access Bars. Through her multifaceted approach, Wajipha endeavors to address the complexities of the emotional, mental, and spiritual realms, guiding her clients towards holistic well-being and self-discovery.

The therapies I use

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a form of counseling that views people as separate from their problems and destructive behaviors.

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy

Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) is a therapy approach that focuses on managing irrational or unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness therapy is a type of talk therapy that focuses on learning how to be more aware of thoughts, feelings, emotions, surroundings, and situations, and to reduce automatic responses.

Transactional Analysis Therapy

Transactional analysis is a psychoanalytic theory and method of therapy wherein social interactions are analyzed to determine the ego state of the communicator as a basis for understanding behavior.

Positive Psychology Therapy

Positive psychology is a branch of psychology focused on the character strengths and behaviors that allow individuals to build a life of meaning and purpose—to move beyond surviving to flourish.

Mental Health Care Coaching

Mental health coaches are skilled professionals who guide and support individuals in achieving their mental health and wellness objectives.

Family Constellations

Family Constellations can be explored in groups or individually. In groups, the trained facilitator selects a person from the group who wishes to work on something they want to shift in their life. This constellation will serve the entire group, because it will connect with ancestral memories in all members.
